Who is Kevin Dang?

Kevin Dang known affectionately known as Flawless Dang is the president of Johnny Dang & Co and proprietor of the Flawless Dang banner.

Kevin Dang a.k.a. “Flawless Dang” is the current president of Johnny Dang & Co next to his brother johnny and operates Johnny Dang & Co Sharpstown. K Dang co-founded the Hip Hop Jewelry giant with his brother Johnny Dang along side Rapper & Business Tycoon Paul Wall.

The Origin

The story of the hip hop jewelry dynasty originates in the Vietnamese village of Hue Central Vietnam. KD is the second oldest of 4 brothers Daniel, Kevin, Johnny and Jimmy.

Kevin’s village achieved notoriety through its reputation for producing high quality jewelry specifically for the king of Vietnam. His father & grand father were both established jewelers in Vietnam during these times.

The Work Shop

In 1996 Kevins father came to America and started a jewelry store in a Houston Flea market located behind Sharpstown Mall. Despite his fathers best efforts, this business went bankrupt, however instead of giving up he summoned the help of his sons Kevin & Johnny.

TV Jewelry

1998 Kevin and Johnny open TV Jewelry at the infamous Shawn Mart flea Market located inside of Sharpstown mall. Business was slow in the beginning but the vision was clear and the brothers were determined to succeed. It was around this time Johnny met Paul Wall at Sharpstown mall, and about 2 years after sparked a business relationship with him to develop Hip Hop Grillz.

2001 Kevin, Jimmy and Johnny moved TV Jewelry upstairs to the second floor of the jewelry center at Sharpstown Mall. Once again in 2003 they moved to the inside of Sharpstown Mall. 2003 was the year things started to pick up. Through their connection with Paul managed to attract master P as a customer. Flawless Dang affectionately remembers 2003 as being “Our best year ever!”.

2005 Nelly partners up with Paul Wall on the songs Grillz, and the rest is quite literally history. The song was massively successful and widely agreed to be the major turning point for Johnny Dang & Co. “Smile for me” sky rocked the stardom of Johnny and made Johnny Dang & Co a house hold name.

2007 Kevin, Johnny and Paul now had their own building at Sharpstown, situated right at the front of the mall. TV Jewelry remained as the name up until 2010 until it was changed to Johnny Dang & Co.

2013 Johnny and Paul branched off together and opened a second location inside of Galleria Mall. Kevin was tasked to manage the Original Sharpstown location as the wave of growth and success continued for the brand. Johnny and Paul in 2015 re-opened the second location we now know as the “Richmond store”.

Johnny Dang & Co Sharpstown, known by original supporters and fans as the “Original store” or “OG Store”. JD Sharpstown is a historic site to many, a landmark of Houston and Rap & Hip Hop Culture. Johnny Dang Sharpstown has accommodated most of Rap & Hip Hop legends, and taste makers and under Kevin Dang’s Leadership continues to be the safe haven for up and coming Houston artists and hustlers alike.

The future is Flawless, Kevin intends to transform the Johnny Dang Sharstown location into Flawless Dang & Co. Rennovations are in progress and the big reveal promises to be spectacular. He intends to continue catering to the hip hop community as well inter a new custoemr base.

Fostering interest in amateur golf

Established in 2003, Houston Vietnamese Golf Association is one of many official Vietnamese regional golf associations across the country.

Our main purpose is to foster interest in amateur golf, to encourage friendly competition amongst Vietnamese golfers in Houston. Moreover trough collaboration with other regional Vietnamese golf associations throughout the United States and Canada.

HVGA promotes learning the game of golf, improving at the game, and building strong friendships within the community. HVGA contributes to the Vietnamese community by promoting member participation at local fund-raising golf tournaments.
